Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Our driver/guide will pick you up from your Kampala hotel or place of residence to begin your 4 Days Primate Tracking Safari in Uganda. Following an introduction of the country’s four-day safari, the guide will drive you nine hours to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwest Uganda. After stopping for photos at the Equator Crossing, you’ll head to Mbarara for lunch at the Agip Motel. Following lunch, you will continue your journey to Bwindi, admiring the Pearl of Africa’s rural landscapes. In the evening, you will arrive at the resort in time for supper and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Following an early breakfast, your guide will take you to the park headquarters, where Uganda Wildlife Authority representatives will advise you on the do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Bwindi. You will be assigned a tracking group and guides, and you will travel into the jungle in search of mountain gorillas. Depending on how the gorillas move, following them could take anywhere from 30 minutes to a full day. After you find the gorillas, you can spend an hour studying them while they feed, groom, and relax.
You will leave the lodge with a packed lunch and head into the woods. Trekking with gorillas is a strenuous activity that demands some level of physical condition. Most visitors to Uganda appreciate the thrilling experience of getting up close and personal with mountain gorillas. In the evening, you will go through the Batwa neighbourhood, interact with the inhabitants, learn about their way of life, and watch traditional music and dances. After that, you will return to the lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Your driver or guide will transport you to the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is well-known for the Tree Climbing Lions that you are likely to witness, following an early breakfast. As you drive through the Ishasha area in search of the Tree Climbing Lions, you may encounter other species. After that, you will travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, reaching the lodge in time for lunch. You will take a two-hour boat ride across the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George, following lunch. Many different creatures and birds, such as hyenas, waterbucks, elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs, and bushbucks, can be seen during the boat journey on the Kazinga Channel. After the boat ride, you will enjoy a brief twilight game drive to see more of the animals before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge – Departure.
After an early breakfast, you will go on a nature walk through Kyambura Gorge in search of primates such as chimps, baboons, monkeys, and more. The numerous tree species that forest elephants consume can be shown here. After that, you’ll pass through Maramagambo Forest on your route back to Kampala. You’ll arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon after stopping for lunch along the way. For dinner and the night, you will be taken to a hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
