One of the greatest locations to see Back rhinoceros is the Ol’ Pejeta Conservancy. The 8-day Kenya Big Five Adventure safari would not be complete for big game enthusiasts if they did not see rhinos, one of the African Big Five Animals.
The rhino population at Ol’ Pejeta Conservation has steadily increased from 20 in 1995 to 140 at present. On your Kenya Big Five Adventure Safari, you may also be fortunate enough to see 39 southern white rhinos and the two last northern white rhinos in the world. Between 1937 and 1950, Lake Naivasha served as a landing place for Imperial Airways planes flying from Durban to Dublin, a route that took several days. Because of its proximity to Nairobi, the lake has become a favourite day trip destination for locals.
Lake Naivasha, nestled among wetlands, woodlands, and rock formations, is a great backdrop for a spectacular boat safari, with opportunity to see herds of hippos and flamingos. Visitors to the coastlines may also see zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes. A guided walking safari on Crescent Island, also known as the ‘hidden gem of Naivasha,’ offers an immersive experience, allowing guests to roam amid wildlife. Notably, the island was used as the major filming location for the 1985 romance drama ‘Out of Africa,’ which added to its appeal.
