Detailed Itinerary.
Days 1 – 2: Arrive in Nairobi – Sheldrick Elephant Trust.
Arrive in Nairobi and embark on interesting discoveries, including the Karen Blixen Museum, which was originally the home of Out of Africa author Karen Blixen, and the Giraffe Centre, where you can see and even feed the giraffes that are cared for. One unique activity will be your “Sponsor” visit to the Sheldrick Elephant Trust, which will provide you the opportunity to see the nursery by appointment when the baby elephants return to their overnight accommodations. Watching these children interact with the staff is a deliciously picturesque experience. The Trust has the most successful elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world.

Days 3 – 4: Visit Samburu Game Reserve.
Discover the stunning red dirt, palm, and cocoa-brown river environment of Samburu. Elephants and large cats are among the diverse array of animals found here, along with six unique big game species that are uncommon elsewhere: Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, Geunther’s dik-dik, and Grevy’s zebra. You will get a great chance to engage with the traditional Samburu people, who are semi-nomadic pastoralists similar to but different from the Masai.

Days 5 – 7: Visit Masai Mara Game Reserve.
The Masai Mara Game Reserve, one of the planet’s most amazing animal havens, is reached by a picturesque flight. Large resident populations of antelope, such as topi, Thomson’s gazelle, and Grant’s gazelle, graze the savanna, resident lion prides occupy and defend territories, and the vast savannas offer cheetahs perfect hunting terrain. The Mara, a large river that winds through meadows dotted with trees, is home to enormous pods of hippo. The Mara offers a variety of attractions, including game drives and interpretative game walks led by knowledgeable Masai guides.

Day 8: Return to Nairobi – Departure.
A day room will be reserved for you until your night time departure for the airport when you return to Nairobi via bush flight.
