There are plenty fantastic things to do in Rwanda, but gorilla trekking is typically the highlight of any trip there. When hiking to find the local chimp population, the Nyungwe forest canopy walk is an excellent approach to appreciate the splendour of this magnificent rainforest. The Musanze market, located at the base of Volcanoes National Park, sells some fantastic local products.
Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival – Kigali International Airport
A representative from our firm will meet you at the airport and drive you to your accommodation. Kigali is regarded as one of Africa’s most attractive towns, because to its fascinating architecture, lively streets, winding boulevards, and grassy hills.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park
This morning, you will be transported privately to Akagera National Park. Over the next two days, you will tour Central Africa’s largest protected wetland, which is the last remaining home for savannah-adapted species. Enjoy nature drives in the morning and afternoon, looking for buffalo, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and other wildlife. Discover the Kagera River’s wetlands, lakes surrounded by swamps, and undulating slopes. The park’s aquatic basins are home to hundreds of bird species, as well as crocodiles and hippos. In the evening, relax by the fire or on the large viewing deck while swimming in your lodge’s pool.

Day 3: Full Day in Akagera National Park
Spend the day on nature drives in the morning and afternoon, looking for elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and other wildlife. In the evening, cool down in your lodge’s pool before relaxing on the large viewing deck or by the fire.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
This morning, you will be escorted to Volcanoes National Park to see the local endangered mountain gorillas. Here, we shall witness the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Trek to the Crater Lake on Mount Bisoke, visit the Karisoke Research Centre and Dian Fossey’s mausoleum, take a spa treatment, or explore stunning hiking paths away from the bush.

Days 5 and 6: Volcanoes National Park
For an hour in the morning, you will see the endangered mountain gorillas in their native habitat. Following that, you will emerge from the jungle and begin hiking along picturesque trails. Enjoy a spa treatment, see the Karisoke Research Centre and Dian Fossey’s mausoleum, or trek to the crater lake on Mount Bisoke. You will be alone for the rest of the day.

Day 7: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park – Canopy Walk Experience.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast before leaving the lodge. You will be transported to Nyungwe Forest National Park, which is home to Rwanda’s only surviving chimpanzee population and is among Africa’s oldest woods. Get there in time for lunch, and then spend the afternoon enjoying the renowned Canopy Walk Experience, which offers breathtaking vistas of this dense forest. After that, head back to the lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 8: Chimpanzee Tracking in Nyungwe Forest National Park
After an extremely early wake-up, breakfast, and a briefing about what to expect during chimpanzee tracking, you will proceed to the park headquarters. After that, you will be divided into groups and given ranger guides to help you navigate the jungle. You will have up to an hour to observe and take pictures of the chimpanzees after you locate them. After leaving the forest, return to the lodge for lunch and unwind there for the afternoon.

Day 9: Departure
You will be driven to the airport today to begin your next trip.
