Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali International Airport
Our company representative will greet you and give you an overview of the 9-day Rwanda tour. Depending on when you arrive, you will take a city tour of Kigali, visiting the Rwanda Genocide Memorial, the Cultural Museum of Rwanda, and the local market. You will also check into the hotel that has been reserved for you in Kigali for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Helicopter Flight to Volcanoes National Park
You will be driven to Kigali International Airport for your flight to Volcanoes National Park following your morning meal. It takes about twenty-five minutes to fly. After meeting your guide and making your way to the lodge for lunch, you will join the locals for an afternoon performance by the Iby’iwacu village. You will love being in the village. To their traditional tunes, they will drum and dance.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience
As you get ready to track the mountain gorillas, you will leave the resort for the park headquarters after eating an early breakfast. After being given an overview of the entire gorilla tracking activity, you will be divided into groups of eight and escorted through the forest by a ranger guide to look for the gorillas. The gorillas coexist peacefully with other animals, and gorilla trekking is a fantastic experience. You might be fortunate to spot additional park creatures like gigantic forest hogs, forest elephants, and forest duikers while hiking. You will be able to see and take pictures of the gorillas for up to an hour after you find them.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking
For another endemic species experience, you will meet up at the park headquarters. Although the terrain is lower, you will enter a forest. The park’s bamboo forest is home to golden monkeys, which are renowned for their incredibly stunning hues. The monkeys are constantly busy eating and puffing up. The activity lasts two to three hours, after which you return to the lodge for dinner and spend the night there.

Day 5: Helicopter Transfer to Akagera National Park
After breakfast, fly to Akagera National Park in a helicopter. You will be greeted by your guide at the lodge for lunch and a park game drive in the afternoon. You can anticipate seeing a variety of animals, such as antelopes, giraffes, lions, and the vastness of nature.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise.
You will eat breakfast on this day before spending the day in the national park. In pursuit of the renowned “big five” of the wilderness, you will arrive in the park. It has been the greatest and only location to witness savannah animals in the park since lions were brought back into the conservation area. After lunch, head back to the lodge for a Lake Ihema boat ride in the afternoon. During the boat cruise, look for islands and aquatic birds. Come back for dinner and spend the night.

Day 7: Helicopter Flight From Akagera National Park – Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will depart the lodge and make your way to the airport in preparation for your helicopter ride to Nyungwe Forest National Park. When you get there, your guide will meet you and take you to the lodge for a hearty lunch and some downtime. A guided nature walk around the lodge grounds is an optional activity.

Day 8: Chimpanzee Tracking and Canopy Walk
Get a packed lunch, eat an early breakfast, and then head to the park headquarters for a briefing on how to interact with chimpanzees. Spending an hour with the chimpanzees is permitted. They are herbivores by nature, have a loud charter sound, are said to share almost 98% of the human DNA, and are renowned for their high level of intelligence. Come back for lunch and a stroll along the canopy walkway in the afternoon. It offers the opportunity to stroll through the lovely woodland and is a suspended bridge that runs beside sturdy trees.

Day 9: Departure
After a leisurely breakfast in the morning, you will head to the airfield for a helicopter journey to Kigali International Airport in preparation for your return flight.
