Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After landing at the airport in Kigali, you will begin your two-day Rwandan gorilla trek with a thorough tour of the city, stopping at the presidential palace, the Kigali conference centre, and the Kigali genocide memorial centre, among other historical and cultural landmarks. After lunch at Frame Tree Village, you will continue your city tour with a two-hour scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, which offers breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding stunning hills. You will spend the entire night in the lodge where you check in upon arrival.

Day 2: Rwanda Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast at around six in the morning, you will be transferred to the national park headquarters where park rangers will give you a gorilla trekking briefing before you hike into the jungle for the actual walk. Around 8:00 am, you and the other members of your group will be taken to the start of the gorilla trekking trip, where you will follow designated trails into the forest to find the designated gorilla family. You are permitted to spend up to an hour with gorillas when you have located one, but you must keep a distance of seven meters from them.
