On this 3 Days Masai Mara Wildlife Safari, we will take you up close to all of the big animals in one of the region’s finest ecosystems. The Masai Mara is home to Africa’s “Big Five”: lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros. However, it is also home to the Great Migration. Imagine hundreds of wildebeests and zebras moving into the park on their annual migration, a virtual train of wildlife trekking over the hills, past iconic acacia trees, in search of food. In the spectacular ebb and flow of nature, they are pursued by their natural predators as they march forward. You won’t soon forget this sight. You will have time throughout your tour to make other discoveries, such as visiting the Maasai tribe in their adjacent hamlet for an optional cultural engagement. For a genuinely breathtaking view of the area, take a hot air balloon safari. Few people ever get to see and experience the sights and memories that your three-day Masai Mara wildlife safari will offer.

3 Days Masai Mara Wildlife Safari

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park.

You will be picked up by your driver/guide at your hotel or another preferred place. We’ll drive past the Great Rift Valley escarpment and into the park in your private 4 × 4 Safari Jeep. We’ll stop for breakfast along the way and pick up our packed lunches for the day. As we get closer to the reserve, you might see herdsmen wearing their vibrant shukas as we enter Masai territory. We plan to arrive at the park in the middle of the morning and go on a long game-viewing drive until the early hours of the evening, when you will have checked into your lodging. Your driver/guide will impart all he knows about this stunning country and the many fauna you will undoubtedly see.

Meals: (Lunch, Dinner).

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive.

We’ll get up early to catch the first golden light and the movements of the park’s wildlife. Today, we’ll get the best views possible with limitless game drives throughout the huge savannahs. We’ll be tracking big cats, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and the other 95 creatures that live in this world-famous park. If you visit during the Great Migration (July – October), you will witness the most incredible movement of animals on the globe. Thousands of zebra, gazelles, and wildebeest cross the Mara River into the park on their annual migration in search of taller grasslands to eat. The river is also home to hippos and crocodiles, who keep a look out for large herds approaching their domain. Ask your driver or guide to set up a visit with the Maasai in their village if you want to incorporate a cultural element into your Masai Mara safari. You may learn more about these Native Americans and get a close-up look at their homes with this optional experience.

Take advantage of the optional early morning hot air balloon trip above the Mara for the most unusual safari experience on earth. Observe the park as the sun rises, illuminating the fields and the fauna beneath.

Meals: (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 3: Return to Nairobi – Departure

After breakfast, you will take a leisurely drive to Nairobi, stopping along the way to take in the scenery and other sites. Along with other rest stops, we will make a lunch stop en route to the city. You will have plenty of time throughout the trip to reflect on and discuss your three days of Masai Mara exploration. Early in the afternoon, we will return to Nairobi and drop you off at your hotel, the airport, or another location of your choosing. You now have the images, recollections, and tales to share. We sincerely hope you enjoyed the safari experience. We have enjoyed showing you the Masai Mara.
