Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali International Airport
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our company representative who will inform you about the 7 Days Scenic Helicopter Tour in Rwanda. Depending on the time of your arrival, you will take a Kigali City Tour that includes visits to the Rwanda Genocide Memorial, the Cultural Museum of Rwanda, and the local markets. Check into your hotel in Kigali for supper and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Helicopter Flight to Volcanoes National Park
You will be driven to Kigali International Airport for your Helicopter Flight to Volcanoes National Park following your morning meal. It takes about twenty-five minutes to fly. After meeting your guide and making your way to the lodge for lunch, you will join the locals for an afternoon performance by the Iby’iwacu village. You will love being in the village. To their traditional tunes, they will drum and dance.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After your early morning meal at the resort, you will go to the park headquarters to begin tracking mountain gorillas. The ranger guides will brief you on the entire gorilla tracking exercise before assigning you to groups of eight persons, each headed by a ranger guide, to search for gorillas in the forest. Gorilla trekking is an incredible experience, as gorillas coexist peacefully with other wildlife. Other park creatures you might observe while hiking include the huge forest hog, forest elephants, and forest duikers. Once you’ve located the gorillas, you’ll have up to an hour with them to observe and photograph.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking
You will reassemble at the park headquarters for another endemic species adventure, similar to the mountain gorillas. You’ll enter the woodland, although the terrain is flatter. Golden monkeys live in the park’s bamboo forest zone and are distinguished by their strikingly gorgeous colours. The monkeys are constantly puffed and busy eating. The activity takes about 2-3 hours to complete before returning to the resort for supper and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Helicopter Transfer to Akagera National Park
After breakfast, fly to Akagera National Park in a helicopter. You will be greeted by your guide at the lodge for lunch and a park game drive in the afternoon. You can anticipate seeing a variety of animals, such as antelopes, giraffes, lions, and the vastness of nature.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise.
After breakfast, set off to spend the day in the national park. You will visit the park in quest of the “big five” of the wilderness. Since the reintroduction of lions into the conservation area, it has been the finest and only spot to witness savannah animals in the park. Return to the lodge for lunch, then take an afternoon boat tour on Lake Ihema. During the boat excursion, you may expect to witness water birds and islets. Return for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 7: Departure
You will have a leisurely breakfast before heading to the airstrip for a helicopter journey to Kigali International Airport for your return flight home.
